North West Retriever Club

History of the Club

The North West Golden Retriever Club was founded in January 1981, with Ivy Osbourne as the first Secretary and Pixy Wills as Treasurer. Jan Robinson took over as Secretary in 1982. The first Championship show was held in April 1986. The Club has a new committee who are just starting to develop the working side of activities. The Club has recently held a Seminar complying with the new Kennel Club regulations for Judges, "The requirements of a Dog show Judge, including Kennel Club regulations", given by Mr Jim Crosbie, and intends to make educational events a regular feature.

Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester.
